Document libraries becoming web parts????

I am seeing document libraries that were create for a site now showing up as a web part in the web parts list. What steps would one do to take an existing document library, including content and it becomes a web part that can be inserted into a page

    Thank you. I see now that these document library web parts are only avaiable to the parent or sub sites of the parent and not to other SharePoint sites on that server which was my main concern.

    All lists that you create automatically generate a web part that allows users to interact with the lists. Your existing document libraries should also have had web parts generated for them.
