Migrate 2.0 to 3.0 on another server

Hello

I have a WSS 2.0 site running on server A. I want to setup WSS3.0 on server B, and migrate all content from A to B.

Which is the recommended procedure to do this

I tried installing 2.0 on B, recovered a backup from A and migrated, but it did not work...
