Runtime Error

Hi,

This afternoon while browsing through my WSS suddenly Runtime Error comes out. I tried to access Central Admin, but no luck, the error still there. When I check eventvwr, thre are 1 Net warning id 1310 and 1 WSS search error id 2424. I tried to reapir .net and wss installation but problem still there.

Anyone can help

    you say to run WSS setup and repair the installation, do you mean MOSS 2007 application

    I got the solution. Just in case some of you have the same problem:

    • Run WSS Setup and repair the installation.
    • Run Config wizard and disconnect current application from server
    • Run Config wizard and reconnect back the application to existing server

    For our case we have Office 2003 webpart, so onece we do the above task, we have another web parts error. In that case you just follow:

    • Remove the Web Parts installation
    • Re-Install back the Web Parts (The web parts wont work, but the installation file already been installed)
    • Install the webpart manually using stsadm

    For my case I'm having problem with my WSS not MOSS. What I mean by WSS Setup is the setup of WSS. Because once you run the setup the configuration wizard will show up, you just select repair option. I'm not sure the solution for MOSS but you can have a try.
