So I am testing migration from an MCMS 2002 SP2 site to MOSS 2007 and I am running into this error whenever I try to run the Migration Profile tool in Central Admin:
The database 'mcms_db' is not an MCMS 2002 database
No other message, and no errors anywhere else (that I can find)
I ran the assesment tool and I got no errors, but I did get some warnings dealing with extra indexes in a table I couldn't find (queue_messages_<some number sequence>) The warning tells me that the migration will not migrate the extra data, but that's fine with me.
Currently the MCMS site still runs perfect, but for some reason MOSS doesn't recognize the database as an MCMS 2002 database. I even attached and tried a completely different database with no luck.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but any and all help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Thanks to Stefan I was able to find the problem. Although the error message said that the db wasn't a valid MCMS 2002 database, the actual problem had nothing to do with the validity of the database. The real problem was a permissions issue. Had the message said "You don't have the correct permissions to this database" I would have known what to do. Oh well. Thank you Stefan.

When i create the new Migration Profile in Central Administrator under Manage Microsoft Content Management Server Migration Profiles, i'm not able to complete Migration Profile creation process.
It return the following message:
Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.
Parameter name: value
Note: This is for MOSS 2007 and not SharePoint 2003
help needed...
