I am looking for a web part for the MySite that would allow the user to see what site(s) they belong to. Has anyone heard of that
I am also looking for a way for students to turn in work to their instructor. Where no other student can view the document(s) and the instructor can modify and return. I was thinking about creating a document workspace in each users MySite and giving the instructor access to it. Is there a better way to go about doing this

You can use the memberships web part to display site memberships.
Unfortunately it only works for your portal site collection (after you've configured it in the user's my site). Sites in other site collections are not shown.
