We had designed a sharepoint site on WSS v3 beta, now we have to migrate that site to WSS v3 release version. can some one suggest on how can i approch the situation. i tryed using stsadm.exe tool which dose not work because there is a difference in the version.

Recently, I've got the same task. We have been probing the new SharePoint Server 2007 final relese and it's time to move on to fully deployed platform.
So I have to solve the next task :
How can I move all the data from one share point farm server to another server farm the way it resemles the old data structure, site collections, PWA e t.c.
The first server farm (consisting of 1 server with all the services started), which contains all the structure & data is a x86 SharePoint version and the target farm, which is deployed upon 3 servers, are pure x64 Platform. Iguess it might be an issue...

I think I lack the information about versions abbreviations. Could you be so kind to translate TR & RTM abbreviation. We have Office SharePoint Server 2007 64Bit English version from Microsoft Volume Licensing site and I don't really know what version we have, but for sure it is not Beta or Beta 2.
I guess it is Enterprise version.
So the problem sounds simple but nevertheless I'd like to be sure about right direction of operations.
So we have SharePoint Server 2007 English x86 deployed in a single farm environment with one server egaged. There we use Shared Services with site collections, PWA, Excel Services, Search e.t.c., have several form libraries and workflows unfolded. Also I tried to install Russian Language Pack MUI but I can't convert the current farm to a new Language interface (according to Official Deployment for Office SharePoint Server 2007 Document it is not possible to convert existing sites, but is it possible to create new site collections with Russian interface in this environment )....so :
I'd like to move all this to a new SharePoint 2007 Russian x64 farm environment consisting of 3 servers (all with Complete installation options) with one server installed on other OS on the same server as my English version. How can I seamlessly do this. In this situation it might be a database backup and transfer to a new farm but according to the situation I've got several questions :
1. Is it possible to move from English to Russian versions of MOSS 2007
2. What is the base way of data migration (if SQL-oriented then what steps am I to follow)
3. How can I deploy Language Pack on English version to activate Russian interface functionality

You will have to upgrade your beta environment to RTM code before you can move your site over. If it's running Beta 2 you'll have to upgrade it to the Tech Refresh and then the RTM code.
No way around it unfortunately, sorry.

I don't follow. What version of SharePoint is your current data on 2003 or 2007 Beta or TR or RTM
