Error while embedding web part

In the server, I logged in as administrator and added a “google search” web part using stsadm command and I added the web part under the “Home” page on the server site WSS, was fine. Later I logged into the WSS from my local machine using my user account, I was logged in successfully as administrator as I have added my ID as administrator while I logged in as administrator earlier.

But when I try to add the google web part from my ID from local machine, WSS says:

The file is currently checked out or locked for editing by another user.

Web Parts Maintenance Page: If you have permission, you can use this page to temporarily close Web Parts or remove personal settings. For more information, contact your site administrator.

I am puzzled. Please help. Thanks
