Connecting MOSS2007 to Office 2007

When I tested the Pre-release version of MOSS2007 the site seemed to connect it self to Office and my windows network. It showed up in "My Network places" etc, automatically.

I started over when the RC came out but the installation did not have the same effects. I cannot save a document from Word2007 to the sharepoint site, and I cannot sync my tasks or calendar. When I try it just tells me to "Contact my network admin"...I am the network admin and I don't know what's wrong.

Any suggestions on even a place to start

In your Shared Services Provider Administration, you can find a page that let's you manually add links to your Office apps.

Under the User Profiles and My Sites Section > Published links to Office Client Applications

The page's description says, "Use this list to publish links to SharePoint sites and lists when opening and saving documents from Office client applications. Links published here will show up under the My SharePoints tab when opening and saving documents . Use audiences to specify if a link should only be published to a specific set of users."

Ok I did that. I set up an Audience with all of the people in my department. I put the url of our sharepoint site in the Publish Links To Office text box. I even hit the "test link" button and it came up just fine. But it doesn't show up in my MS Word, or Outlook at all.

However under "My Sharepoint Sites" there is a folder for the MySites page that I set up on our test server under B2 RTM. How can I get rid of this location and get the real MySite in there Thanks for the help so far.
