I recently installed WSS 3.0 (Dec. CTP), plus SQL Server 2005 SP2, and finally the Sharepoint RS Addins.
Everything is running fine with the exception of two items:
1) I cannot Connect a Report Viewer Webpart to a Report Explorer Webpart (native mode - I have not configured Sharepoint Integrated Mode, because I wanted to keep Report Explorer/Report Viewer as I investigate the capabilities). It generates an error when I connect the Report Viewer to the Report Explorer. This was a nice feature previously - I hope the production release still provides this capability.
2) When I run an RS report that contains a document map, the CPU peaks at 100% - with iexplorer taking 96% of the CPU for an extended period of time, and each time I click on something related to the document map, the CPU peaks again. Running RS reports that do NOT have document maps do not exhibit this symptom.
This is all installed on Windows 2003 Server, with IE 7.
Any suggestions to resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, Im getting th esame error when trying to connect the report explorer and the report viewer. How did you fixe the problem (What did you re install, the web part or sharepoint, did you remove them first).
Thanks in advance

OK - well I have fixed my problem with Report Viewer and Report Explorer - it's working now (had to re-install), but I'm still seeing a situation in Report Viewer where anytime I open a report that has a document map, the CPU utilization jumps to nearly 100% and hangs the report for an extended period of time (I can't click on anything on the report - and I can't close the document map). After a while it frees up and the CPU goes back to idle.
This is IE 7.0.5730.11, running on RS 2005 SP2 on top of WSS 3.0 in "Native" mode (not integrated mode).
Any ideas what's going on
