Hello,
I'm trying to link data sources in a Sharepoint web page. I found this great article:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointdesigner/HA101154041033.aspx
However, the instructions don't match what I'm seeing in my trial version of SharePoint Designer. Specifically, there is no "Create a new Linked Source" in the Data Source Library task pane. I was able to create another data library using the "Connect to another library" menu item in the Data Source Library task pane, however, I can't seem to find the "Data Source Properties" for "Configure Linked Source".
I'm using a remote service for my SharePoint Services (http://www.sharepointsite.com), which I believe is running version 2.0
Question:
Is the reason I can't see these menu items under the Data Source Library task pane of Sharepoint Designer because I have a trial version of the software or because my SharePoint provide is running version 2.0
thanks in advance

Hello,
Anyone know if "Linked Sources" is only available in the product version (not trial version) of Sharepoint Designer 2007
I hesitate to buy SD 2007 without knowing the answer.
thanks again

When I open SPD and select the Data Source Library, at the bottom of the Library I see:
+Linked sources(0)
When I click on the "plus" sign, the Create a new Linked Source... link appears. Is this not working for you

Update:
My version of MS Sharepoint designer is: 12.0.4518.1014. Using Sharepoint services 2.0
I didn't find the Link Data Source Wizard, but I found that if you right-click the list where the data is to be merged there is a "Link to another Data Source". However, it's grayed out. Anyone know why
thanks
