Hi all,
I just started to author advanced hddvd content but i vailed in getting a valid video content to test my first project.
is it possible to multiplex a VC-1 file with the Sonic authoring system for standard HD content in a way that i can use it for my first advanced content project I tried to import the vc-1 file into sonic, generated a simple autostart HDDVD, multiplexed it and used the HVDVD_TS folder for my advanced content project but it didn't work. The Nero Showtime softwareplayer diplayed the menu correctly but didn't play the video. I also tried to burn a dvd rom and inserted it into my Thosiba HD_DVD player but it just displayed the disc error 0x4095C501.
Can anybody help me
thx

So which software can mux Advanced Content (other than Scenarist ACA) which is cheaper and can be purchased
The other difficulty is how to find out what are the settings for the appropriate encoding mpeg2, VC1 and H.264 if you don't have Cinevision...

- In VC1, the MS tool is better (ask MS for VC1 tool kit)
- In H264, CineVision use SDK from Mainconcept (see the inside the msi install file),
the last CineVision use a old version of mainconcept encoder (before summer).
But there is a new encoder core 2.1 available from Mainconcept.
- In MPEG2, there is other better software...
For bitrate viewer and other information you can use, in H264, Elecard "Eye" software.
All others software is most cheaper than CineVision solution....
And there is another software to mux Advanced Content (other than Scenarist ACA).
To test video (only video), you can use the DCA software (approved by DVD Forum)

And test the Mainconcept software you will see a HD DVD preset (and BD preset too).
For VC1, the MS tool software is develop for this application .
To find the setting all are on the HD DVD white book.

thx for your reply bluedvd but I'm not searching for an encoding tool...
I think it's not possible to just but the vc-1 file in the HDDVD_Ts folder and refer to it in my playlist.xml file and it will work on a hardware player. The tool I'm looking for should enable me to multiplex the files to get valid .EVO and .MAP files for advanced content authoring...
