Before releasing this to the masses, I was wondering if a few of you could go ahead and install my gadget and see if it works. It works on my machine but may not on someone else's if things don't register correctly.
The gadget is a simple screensaver gadget that embeds a screensaver that you choose into its window (see http://blogs.msdn.com/photos/markhsch/picture1718045.aspx for a screenshot of it using the Ribbons screensaver).
If you install it and it displays a white window with a red x, remove the gadget and re-add it to the sidebar to see if it goes.
If you do test, please post on this thread with your results (either positive or negative).

Good, glad its working.
The random option and timed switch is something I was planning for the next release. Now that I got it to work after an installation, all that type of stuff should be easy to do.

P.S. How does a button on the Settings sound that would launch the actual screen saver settings Helpful

Seems to work well for me, though I just added it and flipped through some of the screensavers. I did notice you have to use the gadget's drag handle to move it, so I guess you didn't solve the mouse pass-through yet Or was that a different problem Either way, it doesn't really matter since that's why the drag handle is there in the first place.
BTW, it'd be nice to have a random option on the screensaver and a configurable switch time to make the gadget change to a random screensaver every X minutes.

Actually, that'd be quite awesome. I can't believe I didn't think of it myself :)
