Thanks Peter, glad I randomly decided to check this discussion board. The new iHDSim seems much more stable than the prior verison and markup-driven apps run much faster. I'm looking forward to the improved spec conformance. Funny that in the "Help->About" menu the version numbers are exactly the same for this version and the prior, released many months ago. :)

The "Ctrl+R" issue is still around though -- (Press it several times as you work to reload the current playlist, and each subsequent time iHD execution is a little bit slower... to the point that after about 5 restarts, it's completely bogged down.)

    Edit - added a close-paren.

You can't guarantee that because the Toshiba likes it that it's not against the spec. There are a number of things where the spec says you "may" do something, and a player that did do it would break if you assumed that it didn't.

Which errors are you referring to

Yes, networking should work now. Note that you won't be able to do networking on a real disc on a real player unless you have AACS enabled.

I have a rather complex sample that I should break up into smaller pieces and blog.

The new validation tool is great. Much more indepth than the previous version. It's still throwing out a few errors that the Toshiba player doesn't have any issue with, but they are minor. Overall, great release.

    Hi Peter,

I went through almost all of your blog hoping you had put up the sample networking code but I couldn't find it.

Any idea where I could find a code sample

Really appreciate your blog. It has been very informative.

    Thanks!
