I have built a gadget (with some help) and I think there is a memory leak. I saw a post earlier that talked about this in some detail and I tried to fix it, but no luck. I was wondering if someone would be interested in taking a look at the gadget and see if you have any ideas.
I don't want to post the entire gadget here, so if you are interested in taking a look at it, please email me at btucker @ blogcastrepository.com
Here's the problem, I can load the gadget, but after 10 - 15 minutes, the RAM spikes from 200 - 300 MB. For the first few minutes, I can open, try the flyout and anything else. I end up having to close the sidebar in task manager and then open it again which works for another 10 minutes or so.
It's really wierd. I think the only way to look at it is for someone to take a look at the whole thing.
What does the gadget do It sends a query to a SQL server and reports on the status of a Microsoft SMS server. The flyout has tools to troubleshoot the status of the SMS server. To test it, you do not have to add the server name in the Options page.. the leak happens even without the server and DB name.
I appreciate anyone willing to help. Once we determine the problem, I will post the results here.
