Is there a part number to use when going from VB Express to VB Pro 2005 There are several of these, a little confusing, I just want to make sure I get the right one.

There is no 'upgrade' path from VB Express to VS Professional.
Unless you have a previous version (e.g. VB6, Visual Studio6/2002/2003) you will need to buy the Full Version of Visual Sudio 2005 Professional.

Hi -
It's slightly confusing but there is no product called VB 2005 Professional like there was with VB6 Professional. Instead, there is a Visual Studio 2005 Professional edition, and that contains Visual Basic features at the Pro level.
The official product names are listed here:

Let us know if that doesn't clear up what to buy.

I found the part number: C5E-00001
The cheapest I've seen around $600.
