Whenever I open an excel file from my computer, excel opens but the file does not. The only thing showing is the personal.xls file. I'm aware that I can hide this file if wanted, but that does not fix my problem. Whenever I try to open an excel attachment from lotus notes, I get the error "unable to locate program". Once I have excel open, I can go to file open and then open up a file, but it will not do it from double clicking from my computer or whatever drive I'm looking. Can anyone help

Explorer and open it, then the problem is likely with Lotus Notes.
Otherwise, it's with Windows - perhaps some kind of file management or
anti-virus software is stopping this.
Since you're using Lotus Notes, you're probably working in a company
with an IT department. You should take the problem to them, since they
should be most familiar with your system's configuration and what might
be running on the system that could cause the problem.
