Access Security Warnings

Because of the changes with Access 2003, i have had to buy a digital signature to sign my projects, this has cost many hundreds of dollars.

My problem is that if i sign the project, computers with Scandinavian regional settings are unable to read the digital signature, when the file is opened the message comes up saying that it cannot be opened because it is not digitally signed.

I have tried code signing certificates with both Thawte and Verisign, the same happens with both of them and have spoken to their support teams who are at a loss as what to do.

I know there are several workrounds, but i dont want to leave my customers potentially exposed

If anyone has any ideas it would be great

Regards

Steve

    Can anyone help

    Steve,

It's just such a difficult error to reproduce because of the circumstances and the technology involved. Thats makes it difficult to find a solution. I'm at a complete loss and the only suggestion is to change the regional settings and that just isn't the solution.

    Sorry mate, no idea.

    Thanks Derek

Its a strange thing, but i find it frustrating that MS have made developers get digital ids but they dont work as they should.

There are ways round this i.e. setting the registry when i install and set the security level to low, but i dont think its ethical. I guess access 12 will be the same.
