I met with a similar problem during windows 2003 Enterprise server, Off ce 2003 Pro, Visual Studio 2005 exc. installation to a new IBM X226 series server equipped with dual xeon CPU. When I want to acces to a secure web site such as microsoft update pages, I receive the similar Visual Studio alert pop-up with "An unhandled win32 exception occured in IEXPLORE.exe" with an attched error code such as 2900 (it changes for each case).

The impact of this problem is : No possibility to acces for any update for the operating system, office or visual studio applications. Therefore I ahve downloaded the crucial updates via other computer (some of them were possible). I am still expecting an advice how to proceed the system installation.

I will be pleased to get a help for solution.

    Thanks,

I just found out that all of the Webcasts that were included on the Resource Kit have been archived and are available on http://msdn.microsoft.com/sql/webcasts/default.aspx

The SQL team has also added new Webcasts to this location since the beta RK was sent out!

Please let us know if you still have the same problems running the Webcasts from the Web site.

    thanks,

I am also experiencing the same error but when my computer is running a java application.

Java and IE are both updated, and it happens at few times in a single day but then it disappeared for more than a week..< xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Has anyone else seen this problem

If possible, please provide the following so that the engineer can narrow down the issue:

    > zipped content of the SQL Server 2005 Resource Kit directory from your system
    > enviroinmental details of your system

We're also tracking down the team that distributed the Resource Kits to ask them if there are any known issues that could be causing the problems you're having.

    thanks!

Similar problem, but for me it is error [4088].

    Debugging returns:
Unhandled exception at 0x77c4edfc in IEXPLORE.EXE: 0xC0000090: Floating-point invalid operation.

XP Pro, SP2, Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 installed.

This problem is really bad news. It has totally trashed all my internet banking.

FOLLOWUP: Now it's working again. I'm really confused...
