CrashAParty/StartAParty

I would like to see sources for the demo crash a part/start a party.

I am close to moving to G API if documentation for VE keeps being that poor.

Any chances for the spources to be loacted someplace as work in progress

    well...

    1. it seems StartAParty sources do not hace CrashAParty Sources...any chance to get the latter How do you search for that stuff guys

live.com search seams dead hardly alive for that kind of stuff.

    2. Does anyone know how to refresh RSS associated with a layer. Hiding it and even destroying in my

code does NOT refresh the Rss so after some pirce of code updates the Rss it is NEVER reflected in

    the redisplay...

    Tomek,

I still have yet to figure out what you mean by this crashaparty demo, what is this demo your looking for   What does it do   There isn't any available demo for VE with that kind of name as far as I'm aware.

I'd recommend you use the search functionality on the forums, as there already exist topics on how to put millions of pushpins (doable with clustering) and any FF related issues

What is the link for this crashaparty/startaparty demo

Interactive SDK is all you need for your VE needs

    http://dev.live.com/virtualearth/sdk/

VE has sample codes (in java, php, and C#/VB.net), interactive demos, good forum support and supports birdseye mode which google does not.

    >Yeah, DJ Tomek, move to google maps, the VE Community doesnt need such a damn cool party >crasher like you!

do not post if you have nothing useful to write or help with. Idiots like you are detriment to docuemntation access and your post was much less than useful. you are a bandwith waster until you post with sense. I am looking for demo sources for CrashAParty / StartAPart so if you have nothing to email with sense do not bother anyone.

  • Rod Yager

Yeah, DJ Tomek, move to google maps, the VE Community doesnt need such a damn cool party crasher like you!

  • R.Tutus

    thanks Dudes!

  • Gert Christiansen

Ah, I've missed your posts Jeff!

Yeah I bothered to even enter it into google and only got this post and some bartending site!

But seriously unless it is a MSDN demo I don't think someone is going to simply give you there source code .....or else I'm taking my bat and ball and going home.

    Strange thread.

    John.

    Excuse my sarcastic behaviour

i also would like what Dj Tomek means with his confuse post about this party demo, he must have seen it, but why doesnt he just rip the sources out of his browser cache then

And i would appreciate to hear about the functionality of the demo, too.

Is it a party of 20 flashy pushpins, wich move around the map like they dance

and if i crash the party, what happens then do the pins go home

and another question is, why he writes crashapart/crashaparty which one is correct

As for getting things off browser cache...well...if anyone comes out with a demo they should dump sources

even if this is work i n progress... I am kind upset with the documentation. It is pretty much damn simplistic.

The DEMO SDK does not even WORK like ti should in those tabs as it misses input boxes to live test. I had to copy it to WSAD to test. The scripts are heavy when compared with G in the sense they seem to lock up my XP Pro all the time.

OK Enough whining...here is the app that sources for would come handy.

Live is where Microsoft sticks all their new features that have yet to be released on the API (which is displayed on the demo SDK).

Anyhow some of the missing functionality can be reproduced off of the API

Jeff, my apologies to you too :-)

    I am plugging along :-)
