Local Information Content?

Given a specific location on a VE Map, does anyone have any suggested resources I could use to get the following:

  • The Local Weather (With images would be nice)
  • The Local News

I could probably hook something up to hit weather.msn.com with a zip code but a Web Service might be easier. Would also prefer that the resource be a MS resource.
