On Windows Vista 64-bit, the Smartcard Server and corresponding SCard functions take longer (2-3 seconds) to detect smartcard insertion and removal than the Windows WM_DEVICECHANGE event. There is no delay on Windows Vista 32-bit or Windows XP. Is there some new native method for the SCard functions on Windows Vista 64-bit
