Hi,

I have opened my middle tier application with VS2005,CF2.0 (which is developed with VS2003(CF1.1)). When I run on VS2003 and pocket pc emulator 2002 , it is connected to server with out any error. but when I open on VS2005 (pocket pc emulator 2003) It is giving the following error.

A socket was attempted to an unreachable host.
can u plz give me the solution fot this if u know.

    you have the virtual machine network driver in place I'm not certain but that could be new to 2005, or at the least, different in 2005.

    if you're only going to attempt to connect while cradled, not networked by ethernet or wirelessly, then yes, that's a solution.

    I really wonder it runs with the VS 2003 but the same is not working with VS2005. Is it bcoz of emulator.

    Can you please tell me how to setup virtual network card in the emulator and cradle get connection via AS. Please explain it.

    are you able to connect, using the device, to a resource on the network

    what is the address of the socket you're trying to connect to is it reachable on the network, outside of your code

    Did you forget to setup virtual network card in the emulator Or at least cradle it to get connection via AS
