You should post this question in the news groups forum for messenger. there are many people there who can answer this question.
But, to answer the question as a side note :) yes it works for me. did you make sure that you have the most recient version of messenger installed and the most recient driver for the life cam. Post your question to the news group though .

I have had similar issues. For some reason, I have experienced fewer Messenger crashes after installing IE 7.0.

Yes, I have the same thing going on...everything I have is less than a month old. A brand new Dell laptop computer with just updated messenger, and an update to the one week old Feb 07 purchased life cam.. Ironically my computer at work network is down, the only thing that works is the internet, so I have spent 3 hours researching this problem.
Here is what I am going to try: First do a system restore. If that does not work, uninstall the camera but ...
DO NOT TRY TO UNINSTALL WINDOWS MESSENGER. YOU CANNOT DO THIS IT WILL SCREW UP YOUR COMPUTER EVEN MORE. If all else fails, you can go to the registry and permanently turn off messenger.
However, when I simply turn off messenger my computer quits messing up. The messenger is a totally screwed up piece of s**t, that never should have made it out of the office if they have any quality control at all at microsoft.
It eats up 1/3 of my Dell Inspriron memory. (1 gb).

Para Instalar tu camara, depende de la version de windows que tengas, si es el windows xp, lo puedes instalar con el disco de instalacion que viene en la camara. Si tienes el windows vista o perdiste tu disco de istalacion, no te preocupes, puedes entrar a la pagina de windows y bajarla. Solo tienes que llenar la informacion de la version de la camara que tienes y listo.

I found the answer to your problem the driver for vista is no good but install it anyway then get a program called webcamMax install this program "get the version 3510 at leaast it's made for vista after you install it make it your webcam via default" now you can use you cam go to windows live messenger options then you can config your mirosoft cam but you are useing wbcammax works great now my cam followes me when I turn or lower my head it follows me super.
