I am trying to use the sample CEWMPHostML from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx familyid=46ba698a-c00d-4b90-9177-460854f1b57c&displaylang=en
My program based on that sample works in the emulator and I believe on most devices, but locks up on the Samsung Blackjack and T-Mobile Dash. Is this a CPU related problem or Media Player control problem or what Can anyone with one of these devices replicate this I tried both the Smartphone 2003 and Smartphone 5.0 targets.
If anyone is able to test it on a Dash or Blackjack and get it to work, please let me know. I'm not certain it is failing on the Dash, only got one report of that, and several for the Blackjack.

MediaPlayer host sample freezes on Blackjack & Dash?

This is continuing to cause considerable headaches as users get ahold of the software despite efforts to indicate it is not compatible with the Blackjack and Dash. It works on everything else, all PocketPC and Smartphone devices except those with WM5 Smartphone AKU3.
Is there anything about loading the media player control or anything else about AKU3 which could explain the device locking up and requiring a reset which might be avoided
How can I contact the media player (control) developers and ask if they have any solutions or at least report the problem Is there a better forum for this sort of issue
Is it possible to get an image for AKU3 to try to debug this myself
Thanks for any help.

It seems pretty apparent that there is a bug in Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU3 which is on the Blackjack and Dash. I don't know how to get ahold of the media player or windows mobile development team to report this and try to find a solution. This thread got flagged as "answered" even though its not answered and posts to the relevant Usenet groups have not gotten any answers either.
I would like to find out how to get ahold of someone who might know more about this.

This seems to actually be causing the phone to lock up (as soon as the control tries to load) and require a reset from what users are reporting.

I have not been able to narrow this down further. Right now I am assuming it is an AKU3 specific issue due to the updates to the media player, since the software is working on everything else. Is there a possible workaround for this

I saw you closed out your feedback a few days ago. Is there some workaround for this
It definitely seems to affect all AKU3 devices. Could it be related to *how* we are loading the control rather than a fundamental problem with it
Very interested in resolving the problem.
I have created a new feedback for this at https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx FeedbackID=253984
If there is someplace else to report this, for example directly to the WM or WMP teams, please advise. If anyone at Microsoft is able to directly contact the WM or WMP teams, perhaps via email, it would be very helplful.
