French language support for the Windows Live Contacts control has been officially announced.

Well, French isn't *quite* available just yet. It hasn't been officially announced yet.
Yes! We're planning to roll out a small number of translations very soon, possibly before Christmas, and then roll out a large number of translations (the full set of languages supported by Microsoft in end-user products, so the number is up around 30 or so languages).
I'll see if we can get Dutch pulled into the first group. There was certainly no shortage of Dutch at TechEd Europe in Barcelona last week!
It would be cool to accept volunteer translations, but there are concerns about using consistent vocabulary and terms with other Microsoft sites in the same language - particularly since the terms of use and other contractual / legalese bits need to be localized as well.
