Unknown Publisher

I am having trouble installing .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1. I keep getting a security warning that the certificate is invalid (Unknown Publisher). I have tried viewing the certificate and installing it, but no luck. This is what it says under Certificate Details - Critical Extensions Only......

Digital Signature, Non-Repudiation (c0)

I am at a loss and have tried all that I know, which is little. I need this service pack in order to run new software I just purchased. The serial number for the certificate is 61 0e 7d a7 00 00 00 00 00 48.

Please help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

we fixed the problem. we had to repair the .NET framework using this file in the .NET directory. repairRedist.htm

I have downloaded it numerous times with no luck. Also, this is a business computer (small business) but there are no regulations as to what can be installed.

Also, when I view the certificate is shows that it expired in 2005. Could this be the problem

Have you re-downloaded the file again to verify that your first attempt didn't get corrupted

Also, is this a personally or corporately run PC you are having this problem on From the sounds of it there may be a system policy in effect to deny the installation of unapproved software.
