Windows DVD Maker API?

I'm afraid I can't figure out which forum I should post this message in so I apologize if this is the wrong forum.

I've read various tid bits here and there about an API either open or not open for Windows DVD Maker for Vista, that will allow a developer to "automatically" create a project and burn a dvd all by using XML files. I was wondering if there was an API that is coming, is available or if anyone had any information on any kind of development interface to Windows DVD Maker, either via a real API (.dll approach) or my modifying xml files and executing batch commands.
