When running as a 32-bit application (under WOW) only 32-bit filters can be enumerated and used. It seems as though you are missing an important 32-bit filter which is preventing the 32-bit builds of the applications from working.   With DirectShow on 64-bit platform, when running as native 64-bit DirectShow application you can only load 64-bit filters and only 64-bit filters will be enumerated by the graph manager. When running as a 32-bit application (under WOW) only 32-bit filters can be enumerated and used. It seems as though you are missing an important 32-bit filter which is preventing the 32-bit builds of the applications from working.
