I would personally recommend the book in the first link since it is more up to date. The book in the second link is the first book that was published on workflow and it might be a good starter.
Check out this cool book "Foundations of WF: an Introduction to Windows Workflow Foundation" from Apress , if you are a starter this is a good starting point I think this book will let you know how to kinda stuff in an excellent manner and for core cutting edge arcitecture use dharma shukla book mentioned in previous post.
