How can I view the MSJVM Java Console Our company has many clients who have thousands of PCs with the MSJVM as their Java runtime environment. Our software writes diagnostic messages to the Java Console. If they have a problem with our software we ask them to enable their Java Console and copy it to a file to send to us. Since IE7 is part of a regular Windows update, many of those users will go ahead and install it. So, is there any way to invoke the Java Console for the MS JVM in IE7

IE7 and the MSJVM Java Console

On my IE7 browser, there is an option for the MSJVM console on the "view" menu, at the bottom under "Full Screen". Here is what it says. For some reason the little window that opens doesn't support right mouse click -copy. You have to highlight, then hit control C to copy.

What I don't know for sure is if it was there before I re-installed MSJVM (for another reason) - i.e by default. Also, the MSJVM will reach its end of life on December 31, 2007. Note : if the SUN Java is installed, the "Sun JAVA Console" is also available under the Tools menu, concurrently with MSJVM installed.
Your options are probably either to migrate to Sun JVM on all clients and use their console or re-install MSJVM after IE7 is installed.

Your post was helpful, but I still had clear instructions on the IE7 I have on XP.
To Extreme right there is a "Tools" drop down list. Just under "Full Screen" is another item "Menu Bar". Check that one and you will instantly get the menu bar similar to IE 6 and other previous versions of IE. You should have "Java Console" available in the "View" drop down menu here.
