is there a delay parameter for idle-time?

I saw that there is/was a registry setting to adjust the startup delay for the indexing engine on PC startup. Is there a similar setting to adjust how long the PC is "idle" before the indexing resumes

I find that it cuts-in way too fast for my liking, and would prefer to be able to adjust the amount of time the indexing service "thinks" the PC is idle before it resumes the indexing. With a laptop and a single drive, the disk performance suffers grately when it's running, and if it's constantly cutting in-and-out, it's a bit of a pain.
