msdnjota,
You can disable the pop-up in Outlook 2007 beta by doing the following:
Open Outlook and go to Tools:Options:Other:Advanced. Once there, uncheck "Show prompts to download Windows Desktop Search."

Hi Paul
I am unable to to see this option under Outlook 12 beta/Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options. My build number is Office Outlook 2007 Beta (12.0.4017.1006) MSO (12.0.4017.1003).
Thanks

I was having the same problem and after searching for days was no closer to finding a method to uninstall WDS 3.0. After a bit of investigation I came up with this method which has worked for me on two seperate computers. I must warn you at this point that I'm something of a novice with computers - use at your own risk and please backup any changes to the registry.
Open your registry editor and navigate to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ microsoft\ updates\ windows xp\ sp3\ kb917013 and delete this key and all of the sub keys
Now reinstall WDS 3.0, once the reinstallation is complete you should find that there is now an entry in the "add/ remove programs" list and that the uninstaller ($NTUninstallkb917013$\ spuninst\ spuninst.exe) is now also present on your computer.
If all has gone well you should now be able to simply uninstall via add/ remove.
As I said this has worked for me twice now, and after running a registry cleaner (Tuneup Utilities 06) and rebooting I even managed to reinstall WDS 3.0 and it seems to be now working O.K.
Hope this helps.

Hello Peter,
I've seen this problem in the past (and in a repro I did a few minutes ago) when WDS 3.0 fails to install correctly. This generally occurs when our installer fails to completely remove WDS 2.6.x (or any other earlier version of the software).
I was able to fix the problem by going to add/remove programs and uninstalling all instances of WDS. I then executed a fresh install of 3.0 and viola - everything began working as expected.
As an FYI, once all instances of WDS are uninstalled I would suggest rebooting. Start Outlook 12 beta and you should be prompted to install WDS 3.0 to enable instant search. Follow the standard install instructions from there.
Please let me know if this works for you.
