WDS 3.01 and Outlook 2003 (Exchange)

Somehow I can't select folders from Outlook 2003 to index. The only visible folder is 'public folders' but greyed out because I don't run Outlook in cached mode.

WDS 2.66 did show the open inboxes in Outlook and indexed them nicely, in WDS 3.01 they are gone and I can't get them to show.

    No one with an idea of what it could be It's really annoying when I can't search through the mail of my colleagues. 2.6.6 worked like a charm with extra opened mailboxes.

    I agree rkerstens, this should be fixed in coming version. I just reinstalled my computer, with WDS 2.6.6 instead of 3.01. I have several mailboxes that I have become used to having indexed.

    See my previous post, I've installed the .adm file and can now index my own inbox. The other 4 mailboxes that I have open do not appear in the list however. These are also Exchange boxes that I have opened.

    The file desktopsearch30.adm is nowhere to be found on the system

    Found the file, it's in the installation file but get deleted after installation from the temp dir.

    Anyway... I can now index my own inbox, but the other 4 mailboxes from my colleagues that I have open in Outlook don't appear in the list.

    Outlook only supports one exchange account per profile. Are you using mutiple profiles

    In outlook you can have 1 main mailbox, but you can open extra mailboxes. I'm not using multiple profiles

    We are still experiencing difficulties with indexing of multiple openen mailboxes in Outlook with Exchange. Only the main mailbox of a user is indexed.

    Still waiting for a new version, or any information about a new version.

    To just extract the files (not run the install) use the /extract switch:

    WindowsDesktopSearch-KB917013-V301-XP-x86-enu.exe /extract

    This is controlled by group policy. By default, indexing non-cached email is disabled. You can access the group policy setting by using the ADM file (desktopsearch30.adm) distributed with WDS 3.01.

    This is a known bug and a coding error has caused this regression. We will be fixing this in our next release.
