Hello,
I have Xp pro with multi-language user interface for the dutch language(and other languages).
What means that xp is basically english but everything else is in dutch (menu, help etc...)
Now my problem started with IE7 install I wanted to install the dutch IE7 version but I got
the error message that the language of the operating system is not supported by this download (IE7-windowsXp-x86-nld.exe)
So I installed the english version that did work BUT now all my IE7 menu etc.. is in english now
Is or will there be a MUI pack for IE7 that will change my menu' back to dutch
If there will be a MUI pack when is the release date If allready available please send me the correct link.
Help would be appreciated.

Yes, install the english ie7 and update with the MUI when it is released.
The MUI is based on the english version, so this is the correct action to take.

I think that they did not promise to have the MUI redy in January. If you read it again you see that they say, the last translation will be redy in January and after this, the MUI will be ready. But how long after the last translation is redy they can deliver MUI, is another question which is not answered clearly.
Also I saw some MS guy who said, january. But I think he missread the same message.
I think its a bad behaviour of MS to darken about this issue. Its not only corporate users who have problems with this, also the XP Media Edition is affected becuse all localized version is based on english XP with a MUI pack.
And on top of this, IE7 is delveried in the auto update on windows update. A friend of my, who have not learned English was suddenly sitting and facing a english internet explorer, in his localized Windows version.
I think that MS have disbled the autouppdate of IE7 on MUI localized verison, but in this case my friend got it anyway. One minute he used the localized verison, then he read some email in Outlook express. Suddenly when he started the IE, he faced messages in english he did not understund and clicked on what he thougt was the correct buttons.
After this, darknes.... IE7 in (for him) ununderstandable english.
He now, can not configure or change the settings in the IE7 becuse he does not understand the words presented in the application.
This is NOT polite of MS.

That's what I'm waiting for too. Nothing yet available. They should next time release their new
explorer when ALL languages and packs are available. I wanted a dutch version of xp pro but it seemed to be an english
version with dutch mui pack. The dutch language release is allready available but the dutch mui pack not.
Typical microsoft : release of their products : first english version and months of waiting for the other languages, only to get
an earlier release. S**ks big time.
Then they are proud to say 100 million of downloads of ie7 but half of them are like me that try to download their own
language but can't install it because it's a mui pack xp version.
So next month 200 million of downloads from all those who have to download the mui pack version.

Does anyone have any update on this needing to role IE7 out to European offices which are XP sp2 installs in English with local langauge MUi on.

I wrote a mail to microsoft about this damn mui pack, they don't know when it will be released.
The said to watch this site about the development of ie7 : (translation of their mail to me from dutch)
