Serious IE crash problem

For more than a year, whenever I land in specific sites, I get a major malfunction window with a prompt to send error info to MS, and the IE window crashes. This is espeically now annoying since I need this IE window to log onto a voice mailbox. But it also happens on any number of other sites.

Any ideas

Thanks. I tried that and, translating from the Danish, here is the message I received from IE 7: "This website security certificate has been compromised by transferring you to another site. The cause of this may be an attempt to deceive you or to extract information which you are sending to the server. It is recommended that you close connection to this site."

The particular site I am referring to is United Online Communications, at http://www.privatephone.com/voicemail

Is this a common thing occurring on the Net now It happens occasionally when I access other sites which Google has sent me to in a search, and which seem to contain the information I am seeking.

If this occurs regularly with specific sites using IE, first try visiting the site using IE with no add-ons loaded. To do this either right click the Desktop icon and choose "Start with no add-ons", or go to the start menu link in Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Internet Explorer (No Add-ons). This will prevent third party software (like Flash) from loading, but it will determine if IE is the cause of the crash or someone else.

If the site that crashes is publically accessable, post a link and we can check it out. I hope this helps.
