  I use neither AT&T nor Yahoo DSL, and I was one of the 1st people posting to this thread. Still no solution. As a workaround, I rolled back to IE 6. The problem is IE7. The problem exhibitied on Windows XP Pro. I'm actually buying a new computer, factory OEM with Vista Ultimate. I'll post back if it workst on Vista. I wouldn't be surprised if MS has made support for anything on XP a low priority now that they are rolling out Vista.

  Are you all using DSL / Cablemodem or both. I ask because I'm setting up a new box, had ie7 installed and running fine in all accounts, then installed BellSouth DSL and began to get these exact IE script errors in the accounts other than the one I was logged into when installed DSL I'm able to back out to ie6 and solve the problem.. but want to get ie7 up for added functionality.

  Has anybody solved this

  I use AT&T Yahoo DSL but I've uninstalled most of the programs from it including the AT&T Yahoo DSL browser.

  Reinstalling the AT&T Yahoo Browser did not work for me. I had a long go-round with AT&T support on this in November, and ended up having to use a special vacuum utility of theirs to clean the registry after uninstalling Yahoo Online Protective services and the browser.

  One symptom -- I can't register the jscript.dll in any of the limited User accounts.

  Having same problem running just Windows XP home edition (no Media Center). I re-installed Windows XP which reverted back to IE6 which fixed the problem. A month later I thought I would download and install IE7 again. I got the same script error and pissed wife!

  Same issues!  We use Windows XP Media Center Ed.  Those issues only occur on my Wife's login ... mine works fine.  To futher that, I attempted to uninstall IE7.  Now, back under IE6, when I attempt to goto Windows Update  under her account, I get a blank screen ... if I attempt to goto downloads ... it will not verify ... all of this works fine under my account.  She's pissed.

  Well thanks for letting me know that I'm not the only one. Has anyone contacted Microsoft about this I'm on an XP Home Service Pack 2 and planning to get a laptop with Vista installed in about two months. But I've tried so many things to fix this. None work. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, edited the registry, booted in safe mode to restore the registry to the way it was before I had this problem, all things that you could have thought of, I did. And I can't leave it at IE6 after uninstalling either. It keeps on telling me about a missing dll and that doesn't go away until I reinstall IE7. Another thing is that I can only install IE7 on my user account. Anyone elses, even if a Computer Administrator, still cannot install it.

  A solution is found only for AT&T Yahoo DSL customers. When you update IE to version 7, you also need to update your SBC Yahoo Browser to the new AT&T yahoo browser. If you have uninstalled it, reinstall it to correct this problem. The installation site is at http://att.software.yahoo.com. You have to login with your AT&T Yahoo ID.

  Hi, I am having the same problems, tried IE7 reset to no avail, I have also media player 11, ok on my login but screws things up in yahoo mail on other user accounts in xp...anybody got a solution

  Email me if any of you find the answer. Deleting the other user accounts and then creating new ones does not work either. I finally gave up and have my wife and kids sharing my user account (the only one left).

  Just to add to this discussion.................I have AT&T Yahoo DSL and their browser. I have very strong feelings that it is related to the Yahoo software somehow. You smarter folks should focus on that. Thanks.

  I'm having exactly the same prob with an XP Pro installation. Uninstalling IE7 and reverting to 6 is currently my only solution. Have tried numerous installs of IE7 including disabling Virus protector (Trend) - to no avail.

  There are two admin accounts on the machine and the only thing that stands out is that, no matter which admin account installs IE7 - only the original administrator account created last year - has IE& with no script error and works fine.

  I reverted the admin account created this year back to limited - it still has exactly the same script errors. I can keep clicking away at the debug popup and it eventually goes, however it comes back because of the script error bug.

  I'm having the exact same problem. The day I started having it, I installed Media Player 11. I also ran a registry cleaner program that day. Now I get this scripting error every time I try to run windows update. In addition, IE 7 opens up into a blank white page and I cannot use update. Lastly, my Yahoo Instant Messenger doesn't show any text in the text windows anymore. Anyone have that problem with Yahoo IM
