Any assistance with this would be very much appreciated. I have full network and internet access through other programs; i.e. Outlook, but IE 7 is dead in the water.

    Any ideas

The solution to this stupid error is as stupid as it is

Open your internet explorer then go to TOOLS then INTERNET OPTIONS then SECURITY and then uncheck the ENABLE PROTECTED MODE options then close and open your IE7

    and you are welcome.

I think it is a conflict in the stupid IE7 caused by a spyware or virus.

Just someone take it from here and find the cause.

one more thing you are all welcome to EGYPT.

Is it possible to supply a link to repro the issue along with details of which operating system you are running.

If you can try adn reproduct on IE7 as well that woudl help.

This web app is an e commerce application. Functionality includes authentication of the user and basic database calls - SQL 2000. It does not have any extensions to IE. I have a doubt whether the problem is compatibilty with IE 6.0. Shud I go for IE 7
