how to enable Web Test template

I was trying to create a Test project for load and stress testing for web app. When I tried to record a web test via Test --> New test --> "web test" template was missing.

Please advise me how to configure or Add "web test" template so it will available as above

Hello,

According to your description, it seems you have Visual Studio Team Edition for Software Developer. Can you check that for me.

WebTest features comes with Visual Studio Team Suite or Visual Studio Team Edition for Software Testers.

If you have one of those product mentioned above and u cannot see the webtest template then we can troublshoot the issue.

hallo, I have the same problem. Previously i have installed the VS Team Edition Developer and after that I installed the VS Team Suite. But I still don't have any other Test templates as only "Test Project", when I open the New Projet Dialog and chose Visual c# / Test. I think, it must be a update problem from TeamEdition Developer to Team Suite. Please help me Thank You M. Neumann

please find below information about the product

Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Version 8.0.50727.42

Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0.50727

Create a project in Microsoft Visual C# 2005 --> Test --> Test Project.

and the other two templates available to me in Test menu are

Test --> Add New test --> Ordered test & Unit test.

Hi

I have Installed the team foundation server in the server machine and I installed the Team explorer in the Client machine. When I open the Visual Studio 2005, I do not get any menus relating to Testing or Test menu. Is there any procedure I should follow .

Note:

Both the installation are successful.

I have also same problem i am not getting Web Test in Add New Test Dialog Box and i am using VS 2005 Team System Edition for Devlopers. i knew that i need VS 2005 TSE for Testers but can't we install Web Test template in my version(VS 2005 for Devlopers) . because just for this template i have to install one new IDE.

If possible just let me know i need it's urgent and if possible give me link for that template so i can install it and i can move further...

so I'm wondering that can I install Visual Studio Team Edition for Software Testers along with Visual Studio Team Edition for Software Developer or whether it will clash with Software Developer version

I got VS2005 for software developers also and would need this web test template without installing a new version of VS. Any solutions to this yet or is it even possible

You can install the Tester Edition and both the product will work fine togather

you can only see Test template while creating new project i.e. file --> new --> Project --> Vc # --> Test --> Test template.

once the project is create if you try Test menu --> New Test and you should be able to see "Web test"
