converting to ntfs

I would like to convert an external hard drive from FAT 32 to NFTS. I follow the instructions given by microsoft (operating Windows XP) but I don't know what to enter after the following prompt in DOS: "Enter the current volume label for drive G".

Any recommendations for the value to insert Thanks.

    Doherty,

I think you have sent this to the wrong forum. This is a forum to discuss Microsoft Team Foundation Server product.

BTW, the "volume label" is the name of your drive as it shows up in Windows.

    Hope that helps,

    Martin.

I'm assuming you started here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314097/. The label is just the friendly name for the volume (it makes you enter the label to confirm you really want to proceed, since conversion is - as far as I know - not reversible).

As Martin said, this isn't the right forum for your question - this forum is for Team Foundation Server discussions.
