MSDN webcast. C# game programming

I'm new to all this so I need someone to go ahead and tell me what's what. I am wondering about the Webcast section on game programming at:

http://www.microsoft.com/events/series/msdnvideodev.mspx

Is this stuff free, or do I have to have a subscription to something I can't figure it out. Whenever I go to download one of the webcasts in the 3d programming section, I can't download any video but the part 1 of 11.

Yes they are free and they are very good.... especially the 2D one. "Introduction to 2-D Video Game Development". Highly recommend them especially for beginner to intermediate.

    Hi All,

I just got this e-mail from Microsoft:

    Hell Scott,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Service.

I understand that the MSDN Webcast: Introduction to 3-D Games (Part 1 of 11) (Level 200) presenter mentioned a downloadable PDF file and code but you are unable to locate these files.
I am currently working with my colleagues to resolve your issue. As soon as one of my resources replies, I will forward the information to you. Typically, we hear from them in 24 to 72 hours, but it all depends on the complexity of the issue.

    Hi patio87,

If you have a .Net Passport (which comes with hotmail or you can join by using MSN Messager) you can sign in and download all 11 of these videos and more.

But if you are new to C# I would advise that you take this very slow, C# is a complex language to learn and starting with game development is one hell of a task.

Im not trying to put you off, thats just my opinion.

<edit> I just realised you managed to post in this forum so you should have a passport already. Ensure that you register for the event and then I downloaded all the videos

Yeah scott, kidwidahair was right, i'm just an idiot and was confused by the names of the files. They all download as downloadMM.wmv, and that's it, so I thought I was downloading the same file over and over. But anyway, i'm not a TOTAL begginer, I am a begginer, but I know most of the core syntax that would be needed for that webcast. And i'm really not trying to go straight to game programming, i'm just doing those to help me learn c#.

BTW, in the MSDN webcasts, they talk about the .pdf's and and source code that should have downloaded with the webcast. But none of that is on the site with the game programming webcasts:

    http://www.microsoft.com/events/series/msdnvideodev.mspx

Anyone know where I can get the source and documentation.

    Hi patio87,

I have also noticed this in one or two of the webcasts that I've downloaded from Microsoft, the only thing that I can put it down to is that the documents and code come when the webcast is broadcast for the first time.

I have however, e-mailed the Microsoft team and I'll let you know when, and what reply I get.

    Scott

It appears that all you have to do is register and it is free.
