Check in Now

Hi ,

I used to be able to right-click an item in the VS 2005 solution window to 'check in'. I would check it in with a comment. Somehow, I have managed to change the menu to say 'Check in Now'' and I cannot add a comment. Does anybody know of a way for me to get the original behaviour.

Thanks

Hank

Check in Now

    Hi Martin,

I am using Source Safe, but was able to reset with Tool-Options (It was hidden, but now that I know it was there, I was able to show it!).

    Thanks

    Hank

This is the actual correct answer. Go to VisualStudio menu Tools/Options; make sure Show All Settings is checked; drill down to Source Control/Environment, and on the right, uncheck the setting "Don't show check in dialog box when checking in items." (I don't know how mine changed either, the application just started behaving differently.)

    Hank,

Do you use something like Perforce in your organisation It sounds like you've accidentally swapped source control providers.

Go to, Tools, Options, Source Control. The preference contains a drop-down that allows you to pick the current source control plug-in - Team Foundation Server should be selected.

    Hope that helps,

    Martin.
