It does have File > new WebSite > ASP.NET web site

but, I want to know the Asp.net web application like following link shows:

    http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/04/05/442032.aspx

I have no template of ASP.NET Web Application at all.

I am using VS2005 Professional Edition

which version of VS2005 are you using

  • Kimmers

    interesting, it should be there.

File > new WebSite > ASP.NET web site

If it's not there, im not sure what the cause of it can be but wouldnt want you to repair VS.NET 2005. I'll see what else I can come up with

Ah! That's different, I think. I'm not sure but the ASP.NET Website would be the same thing as the Web Application.

Best place to ask would be the ASP.NET forums:

    http://forums.asp.net

but creating a new WebSite project is pretty much a new web application

You need to install it. Install depending on your needs. Use microsoft download center to search for the following:

Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 - Update to Support Web Application Projects
Install Visual Studio 2005 Web Application Projects Plugin
Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 - Update to the Web Project Conversion Wizard

    Enjoy !
