C# Marble Blast Ultra Source?

I noticed in one of the XNA blog posts, that GarageGames had ported their Torque shader engine and Marble Blast Ultra to managed code/C#. Is this source likely to ship with XNA Studio Express (or possibly people with the "creators club" membership), or did they just do it to show off

It'd make a pretty cool starting app for people to look at and see how it should be done!(and they have done it with MechCommander2).

They haven't released anything on prices yet.

Keep your eyes on this page for more information regarding release dates and pricing information.

They ported MBU lock stock and barrel, to prove that Torque X was viable for writing games on 360. The source code is not publicly available and isn't ever likely to be. GarageGames make revenue from MBU after all.

The example was basically to show the comunity that they can make such games and once distribution channels open properly (the ones for binary distribution not source code and assets) I expect many such games will start to emerge.

My only worry is that GarageGames seem to be pricing their engines a little high for the indie budget these days and they still don't have a level editor or any real tool chain after 5 years. I'm not too sure how useful buying Torque X will be if the engine it is based on TSE is still in an unfinished state.

They do have a very good 2D engine available but, I don't really want to unlock the potential of my 360 and then write scramble for it like I did way back in the C64 days!

Does not look like it, the Toque stuff will be a seperate release directly from GarageGames

Don't forget that Torque X won't just be a port from TSE to XNA. It's a totally new development. They're putting the best stuff from Torque Game Builder and Torque Shader Engine in Torque X (will be C# based of course) so it will be a perfect fit for XNA.

Oh, and just for your information: Torque Shader Engine is almost feature complete! Milestone 4 (the last one) is due to be released these days
