Spare 360 power supply to help with XNA development

I have to move my xbox from the tv room to my computer room for doing XNA development - probably the same story for many of you here.

So I figured I would just buy a second set of cables so it was easier to move - I can find the video cables all over but there appears to be no way to get a second power supply. There's a couple on ebay but they want $120 with shipping which seems a little much.

So what is the magic search voodoo to find a spare one at a reasonable price.

This is why it's nice to be doing all my development work on my laptop. Just plop it down in the basement where my 360 is (my den where my PCs are is on the 2nd floor), plug it in to the hub there and go.

$90.... thats insane... is it made of gold

No, but copper is getting pretty expensive.

Btw: If you have a laptop, you could use remote desktop connection to connect to the desktop machine that actually does build and deploy to the Xbox. You'd sit in the living room, using the laptop to connect to the desktop, which in turn connects back to the box. Networking FTW!

Remote desktop will work if you want to deploy to your Xbox but it won't help any if you want to render it to your screen because DirectX doesn't run under it. Just an FYI to others.

I have had some success using remote desktop but its a real pain to go from 2x21" monitors to a single laptop screen...

If you can do that then why not just install GSE on the laptop and skip the remote desktop bit

If you can setup your system so that the power brick is movable along with the 360, then any standard computer power cable will plug into the brick.  That is how I have it setup at home.  In my entertainment center, I hide the brick behind the 360, and when it comes time to move it, I detach the power cable into the brick and the AV cables and move it into my office where I have the VGA cables, a fiber cable for sound connected to my PC, and another standard pc power cable waiting for it.

Nah. The power brick's pretty heavy. I'm betting on miniature black holes or something .

Seriously though - I'd ask friends if they've got an old 360 they want to get rid of. Even if it's broken all you want is the power brick anyway.
