  Hey friends, I am a VB developer, soon I am going to start a new project. It will be a client application, I will use a SQL server database. I am used to use custom classes, I create my onw variables properties, events and methods. I am aware of the Typed Data Set and thinking about using it on my new project. The problem is that  I have never used it,  I do not know the minuses and plusses of the Typed dataset. Now, my boss and me on the desicion phase, we want to implement the most efficient and easy maintainable one. • New-Bee Not sure if it goes here but, Cannot activate Windows XP Home SP2!

  Here's a little story, I had my PC installed with WinXP Home, but it got really slow because of many programs installed and stuff, so I decided to start a new again, I put in a CD mom had bought for WinXP, but when I go to activate Windows it says the code is incorrect, I have done it lots and lots of times, but it keeps saying the code is incorrect. I tried the code that came with my laptop and the one that came with the CD, both don't work. I basically think it's because the CD was used to install an XP, BUT that WinXP installation was removed. So I have a not working CD now, I need help, I want to activate Windows so I can use Windows Media Player and other programs. I would appreciate the help. ...Show All

  Hi, I need input and suggestion on how to design the project, digital signage. Here's the main feature requirements of the project. For example, there will be 5 computers in a room. Each computer has each screen. I need those computers run the same multimedia file and to be able to synchronize them, meaning, if computer 1 is running playlistA, the rest of the computers should be playing the same thing at the same time. I thought of a solution where each computer will have the exact same playlist as each other, then we should have some kind of the mechanism of checking that each computer is running properly. • Puije Is it possible to run SharePoint as XHTML Strict?

  For accessibility reasons and to adapt to the current direction we are going as a goverment agency we would like to get a definative answer as to if it is possible to define SharePoint as XHTML Strict to apply our current CSS. If it is possible, is it worth the cost it might take to make it happen, considering future upgrades, changes to templates, etc. I have found some sources stating it is not possible but I can't consider them "official" sources.   I need to create a data view that joins and displays data from two lists, and to sort and group on all of the fields displayed, not just fields from the main list. I created linked datasource from two of my lists, joined them on a common field, and first inserted fields from the main list. Then I inserted fields from the other list as a Joined Subview, which worked just fine, but now I need to be able to sort and filter on fields in that joined list, for which there doesn't seem to be an option.   do u know what might be the cause pls Hi, It could be that your web server stops responding after a certain point. Have a look at the event viewer and see if there is anything there that might clue you in. Is this problem occuring across all of your sites in WSS or just one site in particular If you only have one site collection I would suggest creating a new one and try to reproduce this issue.   Hi: I've made a full backup of a web application, but I only want to restore a site into another a web application. Is ther a way to do this I'm using the new version. Regards. Instead of doing a backup you can do an export of a single site and then import that to the other application.
