  I am looking for a web part for the MySite that would allow the user to see what site(s) they belong to. Has anyone heard of that I am also looking for a way for students to turn in work to their instructor. Where no other student can view the document(s) and the instructor can modify and return. I was thinking about creating a document workspace in each users MySite and giving the instructor access to it. Is there a better way to go about doing this Thanks! -Nick- You can use the memberships web part to display site memberships.   Dear All. We are going to develop banking software based on higher level abstraction (MDA). In briefly, we will call it "Developer Tools and Framework for Building Banking Software". May be is sounds new or old idea for somebody. Our application will have core terms(Account, Customers, Debet, Credit and etc) for each bank. We want each bank's developer/s be able to develop software not from scratch, but adding own modules or customizing supplied modules based on the core and using C#. Again, high level abstraction.   Hi, I need to execute some code, when my feature is activated. How cann I do that Is there an event handler for that How do I implement it Reason is: I have several lists, that I need for this feature. Some of these lists have lookup fields on other lists. • Penicillin "SPSearch" error when provisioning WSS Search Service

  Using the wizard in Central Administration, filling in the fields and clicking the "Start" button I get the error page with one line: " SPSearch (<here listed the username for Search Service Account>)". If I try to perform the same step via command-line, stsadm.exe return the following: " 'start' action failed. Additional information: SPSearch (<accont name here>)". The database is not created. The account I used is full local administrator. I use SQL Server Express Edition with Advanced Services Service Pack 2 (also tried Service Pack 1).   Hi I am trying to create 'New Shared Services Provider' on newly installed sharepoint 2007, but combo box is greyed out. How do I assign index server role. Good catch Alex. I wish a screenshot could be put up here but I dont think thats possible. The only think I can think of at this point with your issue is you are not logged on with the appropriate permissions to make the change.   Hi, To install the CSF3.0 Lite edition in my machine, I have done the following sequence of steps. 1) Installed Visual Studio 2005 (This itself installed SQL Server 2005 Express edition) 2) Installed WSE 3.0 3) Installed MMC 3.0 4) While installing CSF 3.0 Lite, I got the following error. I would like to know if MSMQ can default to resolving .\ private paths to IP instead of WINs name.   So I am testing migration from an MCMS 2002 SP2 site to MOSS 2007 and I am running into this error whenever I try to run the Migration Profile tool in Central Admin: The database 'mcms_db' is not an MCMS 2002 database No other message, and no errors anywhere else (that I can find) I ran the assesment tool and I got no errors, but I did get some warnings dealing with extra indexes in a table I couldn't find (queue_messages_<some number sequence>) The warning tells me that the migration will not migrate the extra data, but that's fine with me. Currently the MCMS site still runs perfect, but for some reason MOSS doesn't recognize the database as an MCMS 2002 database. I even attached and tried a completely different database ...Show All

  I want to Develop a Multi-tiered application with Client Server Architecture. I have one server and many clients around 10 to 15 or even more than that. I have one problem. When some master data is inserted by some clients it must be available to all the clients and server application at the same time and if the other clients has already opend the master form then it also immediately updated when another clients inserting record in that master.   Please help. I am very server challenged but have been assigned to the task of finding out why the configuration wizard for sharepoint is failing. This is a development server running MS Window server 2003 R2 SE SP1, .NET 3.0 framework is installed.   Is it possible to switch the port of a web application after it is created For instance, I have a web app that is currently on port 82. I would like to switch it over to port 80 and add a host header in IIS to access that particular site. It seems that you just can't reconfigure IIS to do this. Sharepoint is still wants to see the web app on the port that it was created under. If it is not possible I suppose I can just take care of it with DNS. Changing the port in IIS should work. What may not change is the name of the site in WSS Admin, but that shouldn't matter.
