• Oliwa Is anyone using visual studio extensions for wss?

  I can't seem to find docs on how it works. I recently posted asking how to get another assembly added to the solution that vsewss creates, but got no responses. There have got to be people somewhere that know about this, right You can check the WSS v3 SDK regarding solution files. Some short points: the DDF (Diamond Definition File) determines what files are added to WSP file (really just a CAB) and where they are placed in WSP.   Hi, We have got WSS 2.0 installed with TFS v1 installation. Ever since we are using this system for our document library and collaboration. While using the system we discovered many issues in WSS 2.0 that can cause data loss. Given below are two main issues: 1) If a user (intentionally/unintentionally) deletes a document in WSS 2.0, all its versions get deleted with no option to recover. 2) It allows a second user to checkin document that is checked out by first user. That too without first user's knowledge. Now that WSS 3.0 is out, I'm wondering if it makes any sense to upgrade Does it solve issues like above Cheers!   I am re-writing a single-user, local application that supports MS-Access to a multiple concurrent user application that will support MS-Access, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and XML. In the current application, a Microsoft Access Database (*.mdb) file (with structure but no data) is distributed with the application. When the user wants a new database, the distributed file is copied. With a move to SQL Server, etc. most users will likely not have the ability to create databases on the fly (I assume most companies keep that in the hands of IT).   In looking at SOA, earlier component based design, separation of concerns, etc. It seems to me that architecturally they can all be lumped in to various flavors of abstraction.   Hi, It would be great if anybody can provide us with some information about the SPARQL (Query language for RDF). I could able to get some information about this in http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-sparql-query/ but when I tried to use same SELECT Query with the CSF Profile store we are getting the exception that "SELECT" keyword is not defined with CSF schema. I even tried to use the CONSTRUCT statement provided in the CHM file but when we tried to query with this we got lot number of records, In this regard how can we filter the queried records with a particular values that were passed as an input value.   Hi, I heard that CSF 3.0 uses RDF to store user profile file rather than Active Directory. Actually what is RDF Physically where it'll be stored Could anyone explain me.   I need to develop a notification based system in .Net. Basically as and when certain data gets updated, the client machine is informed about it. There would be a windows based application running across all these clients. One way I was thinking of was to have the clients poll the server for any updates at frequent intervals. Whenever the Server does an update it would post the update into a queue. Every client would poll the queue for any updates.
