  • AlucardHellSing How do you direct 'PrintPreviewDialog1' print output to 'PrintDialog1.ShowDialog'

My PrintPreviewDialog1 works fine, also my PrintDialog1 where I can specify the usual printer, copies etc. and work with the result to access eg. the Copies. However - the PrintPreviewDialog1 'Print' button simply prints one copy to the default printer ... how do I set this button to link to PrintDialog1 instead The usual If PrintPreviewDialog1.ShowDialog = (the items available) then ..... etc. doesn't intercept if the user has clicked the Print button, this action just fires-up the print routine direct. Any clues Nick B Implement the BeginPrint event for the PrintDocument instance and let it display the PrintDialog. Something like this: Private Sub PrintDocument1_BeginPrint(ByVal sender ...Show All

  • Condorito possible to automate ms word if Ms word is not installed?

Is it possible to automate a Ms word file using vb.net while there is no Ms Word installed on tat pc Why can't you use Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word You can definitely read from "doc" files using that, so I'd guess you could write to them as well. It means you need to provide some other way to generate a report that does not require word. Then, you can fall back on that lesser quality report if Word is not present, as you can't use it if it is not there. No. You can't automate ( control via code ) a program that is not present. What's wrong with the Richtextbox the almost produces the quality of Word but is a standard control that can interpret rich text form ...Show All

  • ImGivingUp Listbox: as SearchBox...bug?

Hello I have a database (with name, adress, etc. and an ID as key) and so I want to have a search-form. I thought to use a listbox and show there the first name and the last name. When I click on a name it should open an other form which shows the whole record. It's evident that the listbox is sorted. So I chosed the name as displaymember and the ID as valuemember. But what happens: the SelectedValue is not the ID of the record, neither the index, it's the ID of the record which would be there if I wouldn't sort the listbox. Is it a bug Thank you. • Crashone Printing the .NET Framework

Is there some way in VS or elsewhere to print the entire .NET Framework including classes and their sub-classes Ahh... yea, just a print out of all of the classes might just send them running for the hills... instead if you've got a plotter or a local Kinko’s you could always download the poster and print your own copies. Print out on paper all of the classes, methods and properties names and arguments, if possible. thanks. AFAIK that sort of direct functionality does not currently exist... instead you could try using some reflection to iterate through all of the classes within an assembly and print out all of the methods and properties... of course this woul ...Show All

But, hey, what do I know Can-Ann what is the status Did any of these work for you You can validate input in validating event with regex: Regex.IsMatch( <string> , "^\d{0,10}$" ) 'this match a string with 0-10 digits Regex.IsMatch( <string> , ^[a-zA-z]{0,2}$" ) 'this match a string with 0-2 chars ...Show All
