• Omar Fawzi New Sprint PPC-6700 but out of date build using VS2005 5.0 SDK

  Just beginning to build an application specifically for this phone and bought a new Sprint PPC-6700 phone today. The software on it is February 2006 vintage and when I tried to run the program I built on VS2005 with 5.0 SDK I get an error message that This application ( AppName.exe) requires a newer version of Microsoft .NET Compact Framework that the version installed on thsi device." I tried the software store on the phone and handago update failed. Is there a update available or SP, or do I need to reinstall the OS with latest version on a 'factory fresh' phone that was not built yesterday I tried copying the patch to the device and running it, but it would not run. • tattoo Soft reset not working

  I am using deviceemulator 2.0 with al localized (nl) image of wm2005. A soft reset on a restored saved image does not work. All it does is showing a black screen forever. Hard reset does work, but then a lose everything. Anyone an idea When I clear the saved state by a coldboot, everything is ok, I can do a soft reset. But of course al the installed software is gone. The errornous saved state was with some programs installed (magicbutton, TT, iGo), storage card and a comport activated. I created a new saved state without comport activated, but that did not help. So ok, I will start over again with a coldboot image, install all software en try if it will softreset then. ...Show All

  We are getting this error since saturday night: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path validation failed: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: signature check failed Our client is linux/axis. Anybody else seeing that I am having the same issue and have sent mutiple emails to MSN api help. They have not explicitly confirmed any issues but did say they are looking into it. I upgraded my WSDL and readded certificates to the java keystore to no avail.   Met some link errors of timeGetTime() on WM5. I can not find the winmm.lib on WM5 SDK, which lib should I link with I tried to build a directshow filter on WM5, which has the "strmbase.lib" avaiable. But there are some link errors related to "CTransformFilter". I guess this is because the lib does not include all the classes defined in the baseclasses sample codes. Then I tried to recompile the baseclasses. • nisarg quick way of changing orientation in wm5 emulator?

  I'm writing forms app for wm5 in vb 2005. I make sure the forms look ok in landscape at form design time. My question is - is there a way of quickly putting the wm5 device emulator for vs2005 in to landscape mode At the moment I have to go in to settings/screen and change the orientation as I would if the device was real. Any shortcuts available I believe you can use ChangeDisplaySettingsEx function. My software is able to find devices on the network but it is not able to register for their event notifications.   Situation: I had to install Vista Ultimate x64 I installed Visual Studio 2005, SP1. Both in Italian. I could not install the "Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista " because it is available only for English. To work with my PDA, I installed "Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center Beta 3 for Windows Vista (AMD64)". I'm able to sync my PDA with my PC. The problem: When I run my VS2005 VB application, it is correctly distributed on my PDA. BUT, as soon as it load the symbols for debugging, the PDA gets disconnected from the "Windows Mobile Device Center" (but NOT from VS 2005!!) This happens randomly, but about 4 times out of 5.   Hi I am developing a Smart Device App that will talk to a SSCE 2005 DB, but i am having some problems with the DB engine and communicating with it. I have the same problme on the device it's self and on the emulator. If i copy a sdf file that i have crated using SQL Server Mangment studio on to the device the SQLCE App will not talk to it and i get the following error The Database file cannot be found Check the path to the database [,,,File name,,] Native error :25046 I get the same error if i connect it with code.   ok so, i have a dll that was written by another programmer here and, when he updated the dll to have more useful functions in it. i removed the old version and, since referencing the new version of the dll, i get a loadexception with the comment: found conflicts between differenct versions of the same dependant assembly any ideas what i need to do to get this working again i am writting a ppc 2003 app in vb.net 2005. anything will help !! i removed the old dll and any instance of it from the registry before and after trying to add the new version of the dll.
