• HKEC Suddenly get "sql server does not exist or access denied" after connected for ages.

  Hi all, I'm developing a PDA app using the compact framework. It connects to a SQL server 2000 database calling stored procedures to read data and update it etc.. It all works absolutely fine for 10 minutes or so - reading and writing lots of data. Then all at once I get the error "sql server does not exist or access denied". In my error handler I try to reconnect - but it seems once this error has happened it's not possible to reconnect. I don't know whether it makes a difference but the PDA is connecting to a database on my machine via a USB connection and the ActiveSync (the very latest version) program. • suranga_d Error MSN Search When Putting Live

  I've just finished testing an implementation of the MSN Search functionality into one of my projects. During debugging and testing on my local machine everything was working successfully, searches were being carried out and everything was fine. However when putting it onto the server I came across an error: The remote name could not be resolved: 'soap.search.msn.com' I believe that the problem will be down to permissions on the server. Before messing around with the permission settings I thought I'd ask and see if anyone else has had this problem and whether or not they managed to solve the issue. • Ravi K. Who has a PPC-6700 Sprint AudioVox Mobile 5 (Can I use GPS?)

  I have the Sprint AudioVox PPC-6700 and I know that it has the built in GPS chipset but everywhere that I search I can not find out how to actually access the API. There are a few of the GPS API references throughout msdn & msdn2 but none have an actual walk through. It is very easy to access the phone API's and contact lists/appointments and whatnot but the GPS is not to be found. As far as the GPS is conserned one could argue that it isn't ment to be programmed or something but the fact is that in all documentation it says that e911 can use the gps and also applications that need your location (such as movie times or resteraunts in your location). • Tim1000 Mobile 5 SDK for Pocket PC install hangs

  Tried for hours to get Mobile 5 SDK for Pocket PC to install. The original problem was that my McAffe was stopping various scripts from executing. The install hung after McAffe stopped the scripts. Then, after I turned off the McAffe script analyzer, the SDK tried to rollback and attempt another install, but those installs eventually hung. By "hung" I mean the install wasn't using disk or CPU, there was nothing after the word "status" above the "progress indicator", and the "progress indicator" didn't progress. While playing Separate Delivery content file, after the right object expires, the following should happen 1) A message box which states "This file must be activated over the network before it can be used.   Hello, I have a VE map inside a <DIV> and I want it to load automaticaly but I can only get it to load then you click on it. Any ideas! ! Thanks I know how to add it like that but when it is in the DIV it is not "flush" (i believe is the word I am looking for) to the side of the page, it also has a black outline to it.   I'm transmitting some graphics (jpeg) from Server to smartphone after an interval of 5 seconds (Running .NET 2.0 CF SP1) The images are not big at all, they are about 40KB-78KB Now it does this fine at first. After a while, it slows down - it seems like it takes twice as long to display the next image being transferred even though there is no timer or anything like this on the smartdevice project, the only timer is on the Server app which works fine (checked this myself) I can see that every 5 seconds not only does it output the image on disk (Server) but at the same time it also transmits it via networkstream. When the Host controller Driver is loaded Actually i want to diagnosis the SD Card port before inserting the SD Card .Is there any means to find this.I am using the PXA270 processor That code is given to the client driver from the bus driver. The client driver gets loaded only after the host controller and bus driver have initialized the card.
